Objective: Students will research an aspect of the Arab Spring in terms of its expressions in specific genres.

This assignment should send you searching in databases, websites, academic sites, and other online places

to collect information about an aspect of the Arab Spring in terms of how the young people of the Arab

world expressed their values, hopes, dreams, demands, and views.

Like the rest of the course, attention should be paid not only to what is said but how it is said.

We will use the format of a science poster session and adapt it to our class, but you can use another form.

Using the template provided online or a template/design of your choosing (resources linked below), prepare

a one-page (more if you want, but beyond one page is optional) overview of your topic.

Topics should bring together two main components: Genre/Form & Influence. As such, topics will examine

how something was said, what it meant, and the effect(s) it has. Below are some suggestions, but original
