Reread “All Writing is Autobiographical,” and name two or three (or more) ways that understanding Murray’s claims can have a positive impact on you as a writer and/or on your attitude about writing. Then write a response to Murray that explains your reaction to his piece and gives reasons for your thinking. You could write your piece a number of different ways: as a letter to Murray, or to a friend; as an article in the same style as Murray’s, or as a review of the article (like a review of a restaurant or a movie); or some other way (you decide).
