Class, Let’s talk about this concept of “hiring for attitude, training for skill”. In other words, you can always train someone on the technical skills of a job, however, it’s very difficult if not impossible to permanently change someone’s core attitude and character. I’m interested to hear your personal experiences within your organizations regarding this concept. Does your organization hire for attitude or skill? What have been the short-term and long-term impacts of that strategy?
